The Run, Walk n Roll 5K was launched in 2019 to support the Palliative Care Program at the University of Michigan’s C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, inspired by the personal experience of co-founder Claire Sheeren. Claire’s sister, Elizabeth, who suffers from a complex, incurable immune disease, has received significant help from the Palliative Care team, motivating the creation of the event. Since its inception, the event has raised over $590,000, establishing the Elizabeth's Courage Fund to further support Palliative Care efforts at Michigan Medicine.

Hairy Houdini Siberian Husky Rescue is a foster home based rescue organization serving MI and OH. Once the dogs are in their care, they get completely vetted, altered, micro-chipped, temperament tested, and monitored and cared for by our wonderful foster program. Once we have matched the personality of the dog with the perfect home, they get adopted! There are many ways to help the rescue. They are always in need of adjustable collars, leashes, toys, beds, blankets, crates (36 inch and larger) and of course food! Gift cards help as well. They shop at Chewy, Tractor Supply, Pet Stores etc. 100% of the donations go to huskies in need and allow them to save more huskies.

The Grosse Pointe South Athletics program has a long-standing tradition of excellence, fostering not only athletic achievement but also academic success, teamwork, and character development. Enhancing resources for our student-athletes, helping them grow as leaders, teammates, and well-rounded individuals. This initiative underscores our commitment to building a strong, connected community while empowering the next generation of champions both on and off the field.

Founded in Detroit in 1989, Racing For Kids® is designed to use the increasing popularity of motor sports to focus public attention and funding on the health care needs of children. The hospital visits form the heart of the program. Racing For Kids® drivers visit children in Children’s Hospitals wherever they race. They spend time with each sick youngster answering questions about their sport, posing for pictures, signing autographs and handing out the distinctive Racing For Kids® hats, coloring books and assorted memorabilia provide by our sponsors.

By reaching up and reaching out, the JT Mestdagh Foundation sees a world changed and improved by children with congenital colorectal issues who receive world-class medical care, and by those with dyslexia and other learning disabilities who excel with the best possible education, mentoring, and tutoring, especially using the Tattum Reading program. The foundation also envisions these young people’s families, caregivers, and educators surrounded with love and hope as well as practical tools and creative strategies to ease the demands that no one should face alone.

Proceeds from the Fireworks Picnic support the DIC. Founded and supported by the Sigma Gamma Association, the DIC has been serving children and families since 1920. All funds raised will support DIC's expanding impact across Metro Detroit through academic and therapeutic services provided in schools and in the community during the summer, after school, and in homes throughout the year.
